At the Resort
Canadian saltwater fishing licenses can be purchased at the South Terminal. Liquor, souvenirs and cigarettes can be purchased at the resort. Gratuities are also extra. Satellite telephone services are available upon request.
Fish Handling
Our crew will fillet, vacuum pack, and freeze your fish. Waxed boxes specifically designed for airline shipping ensure that your catch arrives in Vancouver, in prime condition. Guests are responsible for the care of their fish after their arrival in Vancouver.
If you would like to have your catched canned or smoked, we can arrange for your fish to be transported to St. Jean’s Cannery in Nanaimo at a reasonable cost. St. Jean’s offers a wide variety of processing options, and will forward your fish directly to you once it is ready.
Important: Following a day on the water, please do not leave your catch until the deckhand knows exactly how you would like your fish processed.
Weather Conditions
While we fully expect to adhere to our set activity and transportation schedules, please be aware that they are subject to change due to sea and weather conditions over which Oak Bay Marine Group has no control. You can check the current conditions on our Weather & Marine Forecast web page.
