Rivers Inlet - off and running!
King Salmon Resort - July 20, 2005Salmon fishing season has finally begun at King Salmon Resort in Rivers Inlet. The season got off to a great start – a day early, in fact – when our electrician nabbed a 28 lber. as he "tested" out the gear.
Chinook / King salmon are definitely in the area, with 20 to 35 lb. chromers making up the bulk of the catch. Just yesterday, the season's record was set early and set high at a solid 48 lbs. Coho are also plentiful, and who could forget about the 8.5 billion Pinks.
All in all, a promising start for what's bound to be a season of hot fishing.
