As expected, the slabs are rolling in at King Salmon. Over the past week, numerous fish in the 50's have been weighed in (at least one per day), lots in the 40's, (a few each day) and many in the 30's.
A pair of 50 pounders came in off the slide already this morning, and according to fishmaster Gary Rooke, as of 10:30 AM today:
"Marker 16 is really starting to heat up now. When I pulled in this morning it was obvious that a good bite was on for big fish. It'll be intersting to see what gets weighed in at lunch today - it could be the best day so far this season."
It's shaping up to be a real barnburner of a season at King Salmon. We'll keep you posted....
