Wow, the big fish have arrived!!!
Last trip up to King Salmon Resort took 9 Chinook over 40 lbs, and two over 50 lbs!
Marker 16 has overtaken The Wall as the spot of choice. Highlights include a 47 lb. Tyee caught by Ben Reid (who only weighs 64 lbs!), a 47 lb. Chinook caught by longtime guests Bob and Audrey Fields, plus a personal best landed single-handedly by your favourite Fishmaster – a 52 lb hog.
Currently the best fishing is ten minutes from the resort. These big fish hit hard with line screaming out before you can reach the rod. Very good times.
