Trophy Kings showing up at King Salmon Resort, Riv

At 7am, about 18 boats were mooching along the shoreline at Marker 16 in Rivers Inlet.  Lines were out and anglers were settled in, enjoying a cup of coffee and the early morning quiet of this beautiful spot.  As often happens, the stillness was broken by a screaming reel and then another - the bite was on!  After several hours of adrenaline rushes and high-fives, over half the King Salmon guests returned to the dock with big smiles and even bigger fish! Many 40+ pound King salmon hit the scales and then came the grand-daddy of the trip - a beautiful 66 lb King salmon caught by Siegfried Appelt from California. Trophy King salmon fishing is definitely on fire at the King Salmon Resort in Rivers Inlet.
